Speaking Engagements
Dr. Zayda Sorrell-Medina is a first-generation college student, an advocate and member of the foster, adoption, homeless youth (FAHY) community and it is a population that she researches. She is dedicated to improving the lives of first-generation college students and the FAHY community. She is available for speaking engagements on topics that resonate with these communities and has experience with speaking engagements with first generation college students, middle school students, graduating high school seniors, and service providers.
Research
As a social scientist, Dr. Zayda is trained in quantitative, qualitative, and community-based research methods. She is available to provide research support in various areas including research design, survey and protocol development and feedback, analysis, and dissemination.
Program Development and Evaluation
Dr. Zayda has an extensive background in developing programs and community interventions in the United States and abroad. This service encapsulates developing programs from scratch, curriculum development, program advising, and evaluation.
Inclusion Evaluation and Coaching
One of Dr. Zayda’s areas of research expertise is inclusion and exclusion. This service encapsulates an inclusion evaluation and coaching to tailored to nonprofits, organizations, companies, universities, and local governing bodies.
